Guinea Customs Management Regulations
The Customs Law of the Republic of Guinea has made specific provisions for various matters related to customs management. The main contents are as follows:
[Import]
(1) The shipping manifest shall specify the type of goods, number of pieces, marks, numbers and
loading places in detail.
(2) After customs clearance, the goods can be placed in warehouses or designated areas for a maximum storage period of 30 days.
[Customs Clearance]
(1) Imported goods can be declared to the customs by the owner or a qualified customs clearance
agent.
(2) Once the declaration is confirmed by the customs, it shall be registered immediately and shall not be changed in principle.
[Bonded Warehouse]
(1) The Director of Customs may establish temporary bonded warehouses for fairs, exhibitions and
performance materials.
(2) With the consent of the Director of Customs, natural persons and legal persons may also
establish bonded warehouses.
(3) Goods in bonded warehouses must pay customs duties when they are re-exported or enter the
local market. Customs personnel may supervise bonded warehouses at any time.
(4) The storage period of goods in bonded warehouses is up to 12 months. Except for reasons of force majeure, the loss of goods in bonded warehouses is still subject to taxation according to regulations.
